Eight Years

May 7, 2004 was a perfect day for a wedding.  I was 23 and he was 22 (and just a month away from the birthday that would make us the same age again).  I wore my hair piled on top of my head and a white dress with a full skirt that made me feel beautiful.  He was devastating in a black tuxedo and bow tie.

We didn't have a slideshow or video to play at our reception like a lot of couples do.  In fact, we had very few photos of us from the time we dated and even of our early years of marriage.  We only have one photo from our honeymoon for pete's sake!  But I thought that for this anniversary (since we aren't spending money on presents due to the kitchen remodel, which is a pretty awesome present if you ask me), I would make a video for Paul using images that anybody who has read this blog for very long has probably seen 50 times.  But these images represent incredible experiences we have had together and remind me just how much I love the smart, strong, funny, sensitive, handsome man I married eight years ago today.  And the music the pics are set to expresses exactly how I feel because I truly am the luckiest, so be sure to turn up your speakers.

I love you, Paul.
